managements and so many other individuals, we gathered all this information
for you. Updates are done on daily basis. We certainly expect to do much
more work in the near future and improve our quality.

History and present...
Snowboarding in Greece was started at 1987-8 by a few snowboarders north
and south of the country. Some however, claim to have begun way back at
late 70s - Gerasimos Avramidis and a couple of friends used to ride custom
made woodboards at Seli and Lailias.
The
first unofficial snowboard race took place in 1993 at Parnassos Kellaria,
at a short and easy going slope, some of the "athletes" were
then beginners and the organizers were encouraging everybody around to
go for it! And that was it! At 1994 the first Panhellenic Race Giant slalom
took place with around 60 athletes from all over the country participating.
In 1995 we also experienced half pipe and boarder cross competitions thanks
to the initiative of some brave guys. At north of Greece two slalom races
were organized by I.S.F. (International Snowboard Federation) Vasilitsa(1995)
and Kaimaktsalam (1996). At 1996, the official recognition
by the Ski Hellenic Federation was finalized with the formation of the
first snowboard
